SENIOR ARCHITECT with SPECIFICATION FOCUS

Minimum ten years’ experience required. Graduate of accredited architecture school with a Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree with license and hold a Construction Specification Institute Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) certification.  Ideal candidate will have extensive construction document coordination and specification development experience and will have sound and diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices in a broad array of assignments and related fields, acting independently regarding architectural methods and complexities.

 

Typical duties and responsibilities may include, but not limited to, the following:

 

  • Prepares and/or supervises the production of specifications
  • Reviews, coordinates, and implements scope of services
  • Responsible for finished plans and review of materials and construction
  • Prepares and/or supervises code analysis
  • Supervises junior architects, architectural designers, and interns
  • Plans work schedules and priorities for project activities
  • Coordinates directly with engineers and specialty consultants
  • Presents explanations and solutions for unforeseen occurrences throughout the project
  • Tracks project progress and implements work schedule

SENIOR ARCHITECT – DALLAS

Marketing Strategist

This is a full-time position for Marketing Strategist.  The successful candidate will be working to help our firm secure a variety of exciting, high-profile public projects throughout the greater Chicago area, across the State of Illinois, the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and beyond.  We cultivate a culture of empowerment, which requires that the ideal candidate be highly motivated and able to work independently.  The position also requires open collaboration and team working with our Marketing Coordinator, our Business Development Coordinator, Architects, and Production Staff.  Responsibilities include:

 

  • The production of highly customized and focused business-to-business proposals.
  • Assist in the developing of interview presentations.
  • Assist Architects in “story telling”, such as coaching interview teams, or reviewing major design presentations to strengthen compelling messaging and graphics.
  • Strategize with firm leadership on potential new clients and market sectors.
  • Development of standard marketing materials and brand strengthening.
  • Assist in the development of White Papers, blogs, and other materials.
  • Update and assist in maintaining the firm’s website and look for ways to refresh content
  • Strategize and curate the firm’s social media presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
  • Attend industry conferences and industry events to engage and promote the firm.
  • Assist in identifying and pursuing architecture & design industry awards and publications.

 

 

 

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications or another related field
  • Proficiency in graphics software, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Word Press
  • Strong command of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and sentence structure
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Outgoing and willing to accept unknown challenges

ENTRY LEVEL TO MID-LEVEL INTERN ARCHITECT OR ARCHITECT

This is a full-time position for an entry-level to mid-level Intern Architect or Architect.  The successful candidate will be working on a variety of exciting high-profile public projects throughout the greater Chicago area and possibly the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  These rewarding projects require someone who is comfortable working under tight production schedules and who has a high level of attention to quality, and design sensitivity.  We believe in a culture of empowerment, which requires that the ideal candidate be highly motivated, able to work independently on smaller-scale projects, and conversely with large teams on larger-scale projects.  The position may require working on multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum one-year experience required, two to three years preferred
  • Graduate of accredited architecture school with a Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree
  • Must have some previous work experience in an architectural office
  • Ideal candidate will have strong 3-D modeling/rendering
  • Strong Revit and Construction Document preparation skills.
