Victoria values hard work, independence, and organization. Those are also what make her effective in her current leadership role where she is responsible for all aspects of M2’s projects from start up to close out. Additionally, her strength as a leader comes from her ability to efficiently communicate and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, and the design team. Her extensive experience in a variety of building renovations and constructions makes her suited for almost any type of project.

Leading the M2 Team’s continuing education program, Victoria’s enthusiasm for learning is contagious. This naturally extends to her strong advocacy for well-designed learning environments and schools are one of the key projects that are benefiting from her expertise. “It is fulfilling to be able to design for the unspoken segment of our population. As an architect, I have a unique role in shaping the children’s future by ensuring that these spaces are thoughtfully designed. Because it is where they learn basic, yet critical life skills.”

Victoria also leads a portion of M2’s transit trial program, bringing focus to the design and use of everyday spaces which impact our large commuting population in Chicago. Her attention to detail and experience with existing facilities, in connection with her focus on team coordination help bring successful projects to life in our neighborhoods.

  • Why architecture?
  • a. My appreciation for architecture combines design with the physical build environment. I strive to see each project from start to finish. Being a member of the construction team has always been largely important to me in my career and growth in the profession.
  • What do you like most about working at M2?
  • HSR, and schools come as a close second. I loved how with HSR we were able to place kind of a prototype and implement along a line of rail in towns with different styles, personalities, and priorities. With Education, I love being able to think of a building and how to make it fun for kids. Get to use a lot more colors and graphics than train stations.
